Edna Mae Ridge is the younger of two daughters of William Fairaway Ridge, 1876-1960 and Martha V. Barber. In 1926, Edna married Major League Baseball star Luke Sewell, one of the best defensive catchers of his era. He played from 1921 to 1942 with four American League teams. Like her parents, Edna and Luke raised two daughters together, Suzanne Albright (Archie Earl), 7/10/27-11/21/92, and Lois Pflueger (John), bc1931.
