Betty Lou Stewart Boyles, 89, went home to be with our Lord and Savior and her loving husband on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born on July 28, 1931, to the late Lee Ernest Stewart and Vallie Mae Gunter Stewart.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ellis Boyles; her brother, Lee Ernest Stewart, Jr.; her sister, Linda Springs; and brother and sister-in-law Max and Avolene Boyles.
She is survived by her sons, Alan Dale Boyles (Loretta), and Ricky Dean Boyles; five grandchildren: Zachary (Misty), Amanda (Travis), Molly (Bobby), Christy (Rudger), and Heather (Tyler); ten great-grandchildren; two nieces, a nephew, and sister-in-law.
Mrs. Boyles will lie in state from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, 1024 Volunteer Rd. King, NC. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, with Dr. Evelyn Lemons officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones following the service. Interment will take place at Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church General Fund or to Mountain Valley Hospice.
