He is survived by Lynnette, his wife of 15 years; a son, Kenneth Emmons, Jr.; a son, Timothy Hale; a daughter, Charlotte Hale; a granddaughter, Maggie Emmons; a bonus family member, Ethen Brownlee; a sister, Bernice Enyeart of Warsaw, IN; and his long-time best friend, Bub Spencer. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Jennifer Jo Emmons.
During his life-time, Kenneth was employed at Sullair, a manufacturing company, then moved into security positions at LaPorte and Porter Hospitals. As a young man he enjoyed showing and judging Palomino horses at open horse shows. He was a LaPorte County First Responder, and a 25-year volunteer firefighter with the Springfield Township Fire Department. He also served as chief of that department at one time.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Springville Cemetery in LaPorte.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, LaPorte, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Township Volunteer Fire Department, 7111 N. 300 W., Michigan City, IN 46360.
