Ebenezer's name appears on a list as one of the town's 89 original taxpayers. He resided on Chamberlain Road and served in 1726-1727 as treasurer for the West Precinct of Chelmsford which became the town of Westford in 1729.
He and his brother, Thomas Wright, gave the town of Westford the land for the North Burying Ground (Hillside) in 1753.
