Thomas (Tommy) E. Carlton, 73 of Arkoma, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 in a local hospital. He was born December 15, 1947 in Canon City, Colorado to Maurice and Juanita (Richardson) Carlton. He was a draftsman for over forty years. He loved working on old cars and doing pencil drawings. He passed away unexpectedly while helping a neighbor he had just met. He never knew a stranger and always enjoyed sharing the Lord with everyone he met.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Anderson, Missouri.
The family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. at Ocker Memorial Chapel 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife Jean (Edwards) Carlton of the home; three daughters Rhonda Carlton of Grove, Oklahoma, Mel Huff (Jason) of Searcy, Arkansas, Brenda Harris (Sarah Bell) of Barling; five sons Heath Carlton (Jennifer) Niota, Tennessee, Johnny Carlton (Becky) Anderson, Missouri, Jesse Carlton (Tammy) of Baxter Springs, Kansas, David Hunter (Michelle) of Rogers, Arkansas, Joey Hunter (Tammy) of Rogers; one honorary son Jimmy Mathia (Jamie) of Baxter Springs, Kansas; Eighteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a niece Star Harmon (Fred) and many other nieces and nephews.
