Christopher Glenn Blankenship, age 48, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born September 18, 1972 in Wilkes County to Ronald "Ronnie" Glenn and Mary "Susie" Bumgarner Blankenship. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and employed with Lowe's Companies in shipping. Chris was preceded in death by his father. Chris was a devoted husband, and a man who loved his family beyond measure. He was a comic book aficionado and could spend many hours in conversation discussing story lines and the differences between print and media. He was an all-around fun-loving guy that could bring a smile to anyone's face.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 22 years, Jennifer Blankenship; his mother, Mary "Susie" Blankenship of North Wilkesboro; brother, Matthew Blankenship and spouse Torri of Thomasville; nieces, Chloe and Luna; nephew, Jeremy, and his three pug babies, Beasley, Gatsby and Darci.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Kent Wood and Rev. Reggie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Mt. Zion Baptist Church from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
