Marvin R. Walker, 82, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away on May 9, 2021. He was born in Springdale, Arkansas on April 11, 1939. Marvin served in the United States Army from 1961-1964. During his service he was stationed in Germany. Marvin was an entrepreneur, owning Wild Card Sport Shop, Walker's Corner, and Walker's Corner Video. He turned his hobbies into careers, becoming a beekeeper and creator of neon signs. Marvin also served several years on the board of Bethel Heights. He was a NASCAR fan, a Razorback fan and an avid fisherman, spending most of his retirement days on the lake or with friends at Hickory Creek Marina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin W. Walker and Lela Brown Walker, as well as three sisters: Luvene Eidson, Lorene Shamblin, and Marvalene Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Walker; his daughter and her husband, Regina and Van Stewman; 2 granddaughters, Peyton Stewman and Cassidy Stewman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Springdale on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 1:00pm. Rev. Sara Charleton will officiate the service. Burial will be conducted at the Bluff Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Children's Safety Center of Washington County and/or Circle of Life Hospice.
