Laura Belle Goodman, 96, of Gastonia passed away May 4, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born on March 18, 1925 in Monroe County, TN and a daughter of the late James Tilley and Carrie Jackson Tilley.
In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Ann Waugh; three sisters, Marie Cannon, Mary Jane Barr, and Ruth Tilley; and five brothers, Ray, Jack, Howard, Reed, and Bill Tilley.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Goodman; four grandchildren Carrie Dudley (Brian); Cassie Ashley (Chris); Richard Bradley (Mary); David Bradley and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia at 12:30 pm, Saturday, May 8, 2021. A funeral service, with Pastor David Julen officiating, will follow in Founders Chapel at McLean Funeral Directors. Committal will be at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, PO Box 318, Memphis, TN, 38101. McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia is serving the Goodman family.
