Rev. John George Benson was the son of John and Elizabeth (Haylett) Benson. Celia Selina (Maltby) Benson was his 1st wife. They were married December 6, 1877. Celia died November 7, 1897. Ada Elizabeth (Remmel) Benson was his 2nd wife. They were married in 1898. Ada died April 29, 1946. Rev. Benson was a minister in the Northern New York Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He was a School Teacher before he went into the ministry.
