Celia (Maltby) Benson was the daughter of Timothy and Lucinda (Towne) Maltby. She was the 1st wife of Rev. John George Benson. They were married Pulaski, New York December 6, 1877. Rev. Benson was a minister in the Northern New York Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died in 1940.
