Brownfield (Special) – E. N. Corley, 84, Brownfield resident of 50 years died at 11:05 p.m. Friday at Brownfield General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Calvary Baptist church here with the Rev. A. D. Kyle, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Crane officiating. Assisting will be the Rev. Clarence Branch, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
A native of Dallas County, Corley moved to Young county with his parents, where he resided until 1928. He married Clara Jones in Graham Sept. 30, 1923. He and his wife lived in Young County until 1928 when they moved to Terry County.
He farmed in Terry County until he retired and moved into town with his wife in 1959.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Clara; two sons, Carl of Andrews and Ralph of Odessa; three daughters, Juanita Igo of Eldorado, Edna Chisum of Brownfield and Carolyn Corley of Lubbock; a brother, Carlos of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Lillie Alford of Graham, Lona Hamilton of Odessa and Corene Adams of Seagraves; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
