Mr. Bobby Franklin Owens, 78, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Baptist Medical Center South, surrounded by his family, on Friday, May 7, 2021.

Funeral services for Mr. Owens will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 11th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Owens was a proud lifelong resident of Crenshaw County. He was an extremely skilled mechanic who enjoyed working on his own race cars for years. He also owned and operated a truck driving business with his wife for 40 years. In his free time, he loved racing, as well as caring for his own horses. He was a gregarious man, who enjoyed spending time with other people. Many fondly called him by his CB handle, "Cool Springs." Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. No one meant more to him than his family, and there was no one he would rather spend his time with. He will be sorely missed by all of them, but they are grateful for the lifetime of memories they have made together.

Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his parents, John Brady & Mollie Ann Owens; brother, Ronny Owens; and nephew, Tommy Byrd.
