Hershel Lee "Lit" Williams, 75, of Citronelle, Ala., died Thursday, Jan, 13. 2005, in Citronelle. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a native and life-long resident of Wayne County and was a member of Lowery Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Williams Sr., his mother, Dora Williams; and his daughter, Linda Williams. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Williams of Citronelle; his sons, Darrell Williams of Quitman and Hershel Hodge of Citronelle; his daughters, Frances Bohl of Enterprise and Sherry Livingston of Waynesboro; his step-daughters, Marlee Jenkins, Janet Eldridge, Susan Gardner and Lottie Sellers; his brothers, Prentiss Ray Williams, Oscar Van Williams and David Williams, all of Waynesboro, and Hugh Wayne Williams of Shubuta; his sisters, Masie Langley, Grace Burgess, Mary Styron and Ann Foxworth, all of Waynesboro; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 23 step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Freeman Funeral Home Inc. in Waynesboro. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Freeman Chapel with the Revs. Ricky Williams, Kevin Livingston and E.C. Roney officiating. Interment will be in the Lowery Cemetery. Freeman Funeral Home Inc. of Waynesboro is in charge of arrangements.
