Leda Faye Burress, age 81 of Oneida, TN passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born in Scott County, TN on October 7, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Segal and Nova Terry. She was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church. She retired from HBD Industries.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Grover Terry, Justine Phillips, Maxine Terry, Velma Caldwell, Judy Smith, and infant sister Esta; sons-in-law, Brian Honeycutt and Shannon Harman; great granddaughter, Kira Bowling.

Leda is survived by her daughters, Vanessa Honeycutt, Melissa Kidd and husband Donny, Tonja Burress Harman; sister, Vera Hancock Slaven and husband R.O. Slaven; brother-in-law, Fred Phillips; grandchildren, Tamsen Bowling and husband Branden, Mica Whaley and husband Andrew, William Simon Kidd and wife Paula, Raven Harman and fiancé Sam, Audrea Harmon, Jessica Sigmon, Brandon Harmon; great grandchildren, Holden Bowling, Gabrel Bowling, Keegan Bowling, Bransen Bowling, Deacon Whaley, Merritt Whaley, and Logan Whaley, Victoria, Kylie, and McKala Sexton, Ellie, Rayne, Brooklin, and Carter; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Burress family on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Kidd and Bro. Dilbert Terry officiating. Music will be provided by the Hancock family.

Committal service will follow in the Leatherwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. Masks are required.
