Velda R. Walker, age 94, went to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday May 4, 2021. She was born on April 25, 1927 in Clark County, WI, daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Gerhardt) Asplin.
Velda had a variety of interests including gardening and bird watching, but enjoyed most spending time with her family and will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who unselfishly gave her attention and time to anyone in need.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Jeanne), Bonnie (Jeff) Massey and Butch (Vicki); six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Jean (Wendell) Suckow; her brother-in-law, Bernard (Delores) Walker and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1987; her grandson, Michael Walker; her brothers, Hubert, Donald and Bill; and her sisters, Lila Sackett, Florence Beyer, Lois Wick, Betty Asplin and Lorraine Neuleib.
