John Henry Dahmer

John H. Dahmer, 80, of 14 Princess St. East, Waterloo, died Tuesday at his home following a brief illness. He was a resident of Waterloo for the past 44 years. He was born Oct. 6, 1874, at Conestogo, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dahmer. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, Waterloo, and the Canadian Order of Foresters. His wife, the former Levina Haffner, died 17 years ago. Surviving are one son, Lorne of Bloomingdale; two daughters, Mrs. John (Pearl) Seitz and Mrs. Viola Hagen, both of Waterloo; six brothers, William and Frederick of Waterloo, Henry of Conestogo, and Charles, David and Walter of Kitchener; five sisters, Mrs. Winnie Klaehn, Mrs. Annie Wolfe, Mrs. Ivan Grischo and Mrs. Maude Yaeck, all of Kitchener and Mrs. Tillie Mohr of New Hamburg; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral service will be conducted Friday.
