George was born in the village of Conestoga, Woolwich Twp; in 1872. His parents were Henry Dahmer (1835-1915) and Elizabeth Hess (1848-1923).

1891 census of Woolwich Twp; 19 years old.
1901 census of Woolwich Twp; 28 years old.
1911 census of Waterloo Town. 39 years old.
1921 census of Waterloo Town. 49 years old.

He married Anna Stroh in the village of Elmira on Nov. 26, 1893. Marriage Register #012105.

They raised 6 children in Waterloo County;
1. Oscar J. Dahmer 1894-1975.
2. Gertrude D. Dahmer (Heintz) 1897-1981.
3. Delbert H. Dahmer 1899-1976.
4. John H. Dahmer 1902-1926.
5. "Winnie" E. Dahmer (Novick) 1906-1937.
6. George C. Dahmer 1908-1961.

In 1935 George & Anna were living at 78 Union St. East in Waterloo.

While visiting his son Oscar in Detroit, George had a heart attack & died suddenly. Michigan Death Certificate #223538.
