Our beloved Mother, Grand-mother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother returned to her heavenly home Oct. 1, 2007. She was born March 18, 1905 to Joseph Gregorius Junior Larson and Mary Louise Goffe Larson. Helen graduated from West High School and was a diver and a lifeguard. She married Lee K. Nicholson, Jr. in 1925 in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death in 1984. She was a Nurses Aid during the 2nd World War. She loved knitting, crocheting and being with her family. Helen taught an upholstering class in the middle to late 1940's. She and her husband were founding members of Willow Creek Country Club. Helen loved to play golf and had a wonderful short game. Her putting was really exceptional. She was a runner-up to the club champion twice. She loved to play Mah Jongg and Bridge. She spent 10 years traveling all over the world.
Helen had two children, a son Keith Nicholson (who died in 1982) and a daughter Diane Morrison (Robert). She had four grandchildren, Craig Morrison (Jennifer), Richard Morrison (Barbara), Holly Cunningham (Smith) and Michael Morrison. She had 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great- grandchildren, and a brother, Sterling E. Larson, Eagle, ID.
Graveside service will be held Sat. Oct. 6, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Fri. October 5, 2007 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT. We want to thank the people who took such good care of her during her last years, Cottonwood Creek Retirement, Alpine Homecare, The Wentworth at Cottonwood Heights and the Caresource. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Caresource, 1624 East 4500 South, Holladay, UT 84117.
