Raymond Jasper "Jack" Perkins, Jr., known affectionately to his grandchildren as Pop Pop, passed away at his home in Advance on Sunday, May 2, 2021.

Born on October 27, 1938, in La Grange, North Carolina to Minnie Bruce Britt and Raymond Jasper Perkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie Bruce and Raymond Perkins, and siblings, Betty Britt Howard and James Perkins.

Jack will be missed greatly by his wife of 48 years, Sue Whitt Perkins; his son, Britt (Maria) Perkins; his daughter, Allison Perkins McWhorter (Michael); five grandchildren, Will and Sarah Perkins and Cade, Carson, and Reagan McWhorter.

A funeral service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 1:00 pm with Chaplain Randy Hillman officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Glenlake Parkway NE South Tower Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30328, or the Humane Society of Davie County, 1469 N. Main St., Mocksville, NC 27028.
