Former Marlow, Oklahoma, resident, EVA LOUISE MOORE AVERYT of China Spring, Texas, passed quietly Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, in her home in China Spring. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in the Marlow Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Eva was born the last of seven children to Clarence Andrew "Dick" Moore and Clara Hazel McManomy Moore on Oct. 28, 1930, in Duncan, Oklahoma. She grew up and went to school in Duncan. She married Gilbert Lynn Averyt on April 4, 1945. She and Lynn had one son and five daughters. Lynn was active duty Air Force and Eva traveled around the world with him, taking care of their children. Along the way she worked to help support the family. After retirement she and Lynn returned to Marlow until Lynn's death in 2000. She then moved to Texas to live with one of her daughters.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy Kay Oliver, Lenda Louise Callaway and husband Jimmy, and Patricia "Tricia" Lee Schlittler and husband Jimmy of Garland, Texas; son-in-law Tommy Duncan of Oak Leaf, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lynn; son, Gilbert Lynn "Buddy" Averyt, Jr.; and two daughters, Carolynn Ann Duncan and Hazel Winifred Averyt Zeigler.
