Sarah was a bank teller for many years, also a school secretary for Johnson City Schools. However, she considered her main career as a homemaker and loved sewing and gardening for her family.
She was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she was choir member for many years.
In addition to her parents, her husband Clarence Denny preceded her in death in 2018.
Those left to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Clayton Vandiver; son, Samuel L. Denny; grandson and his wife, Scott and Amy Vandiver, grandson and his wife, Steven and Adrianne Vandiver; great granddaughter, Harriet Vandiver and great grandson, Ely Vandiver.
Sarah has been buried in the First Church of the Brethren Cemetery with her husband. A memorial will be held at a later date.
