Charles Douglas, age 87, a resident of Silverhill, Alabama passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021. Charles was born on October 2, 1933 to Sam and Laura Mae Douglas in Georgetown, South Carolina. He grew up with his seven brothers and sisters in Mobile County and later moved to Silverhill. He married his high school sweetheart, Helen Douglas, in 1953. The couple was married for 65 years.

Charles and Helen owned and worked at Lee's Florist and later at D & M Greenhouse. He loved flowers and always appreciated their beauty. He enjoyed woodworking in his free time and was a volunteer fireman for the Town of Silverhill in his younger years. He loved sitting on the porch with Helen watching for and listening to the birds. He was a family man who loved his family deeply and treasured building memories and spending time with them.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 at 10:30am at Silverhill Cemetery
