Jean Roberts Loftin, 89, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
She was born in Lincoln County, daughter of the late Worth David Roberts, Sr. and Ada Barnett Roberts Petty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Taylor Loftin, Sr., her granddaughter, Amy Noel Blackwelder; and her siblings, Frances Lowe, Jo Ingebritsen, Worth David Roberts, Jr., Betty Pendleton, Evelyn Pendleton, and Faye Clippard.
Mrs. Loftin is survived by her children, Renee Loftin Clemmer (James), Emiley Loftin Pounder, Benny Loftin (Kim), and Kathey Loftin Brunetti (Louis); 5 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Loftin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. Her body will lie in repose on Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Animal League of Gaston County, 425 West Franklin Boulevard Gastonia, NC 28052. Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mount Holly is caring for the Loftin family.
