He was born with snow on the ground at 11:07 am on January 13, 1957, in Portland, Oregon, to Allen LeRoy and Virginia Inez (Davenport) O'Neal.
He is preceded in death by his father, Allen Leroy; brother; Monte Hannon; and sister, Anne-Marie Reyes-Hawes.
Chris was baptized in the Catholic Church. He is a Veteran of the United States Army and received his Associate of Arts degree from Westark College in Fort Smith Arkansas, now UAFS. He was blessed to spend most of his career working for Knight and Carver Yacht Co. in San Diego which centered around his passion for fishing. You'd find him 365 days a year fishing and even checking his crab box during his lunch break. After moving back to Arkansas, he was instrumental in founding the HIV/AIDS Support Organization, NWA Positive Links Support Network.
Chris was a lover of life and could be found tinkering with new electronics and listening to Rock music. He was so loved, and he loved his friends and his family deeply.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia (Davenport) O'Neal of the home; his three siblings, Belinda Baker of Fort Smith, Greg Reyes of Fresno, California, and David Reyes of Springdale; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Day, Carol Baker, Linda Baker, Carolyn Reyes, and Tommy Reyes; and great nieces and nephews, Scott Dickinson and Morgan Dickinson.
A graveside service will be held at 9:30 am on Monday, May 3, 2021, at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
