Peggy S. Clinton passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas A. Clinton, daughter, Catherine Meyer, parents, Mary Louise and Samuel Gardner Stephenson and sister, Mary Anne Edwards.

Peggy was born January 26, 1940 in Bessemer, AL. From an early age, music was a major part of her life. Her piano and vocal talents were admired by many. She received her Masters Degree in music from the University of Alabama, where she met Tom Clinton. They married September 2, 1961 and moved to Mobile. She taught music for the public school system, performed in the Mobile Opera Guild, taught voice at the University of South Alabama and sang in several church choirs.

Peggy and Tom developed many lifelong friends through tennis and bridge. Peggy played bridge with the same ladies for over 50 years. They were all dear friends. They also enjoyed spending time at the beach with family and friends. They shared a love of University of Alabama football and were avid bird watchers. Everyone knew of her love for cats. Peggy had a kind and generous heart which made her a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
