Katrina Claudette Lewis, "Trina" as she is affectionately known, was born in Richmond, Virginia on November 21, 1959. She was preceded in death by her Father, Bruce Peacock and her Mother, Josephine "Joy" Logan. Trina passed from this earthly life to be with her heavenly father and family on April 20, 2021, just two days after the anniversary of her Mom's death of April 18, 1997.

Trina attended Richmond Public Schools and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Richmond Virginia. After graduation she enlisted in the U.S. Army and reported to Fort Jackson, South Carolina to begin serving her Country. One of her military assignments brought her to Houston Texas where she met and married Donald Lewis. To this union was born one child, her beloved son Derek J. Lewis, "Babyboy". After her military service Trina applied to the Texas Post Office Service where she was employed from 1998 until her retirement in September 2020. Trina was fond of her post office assignment where she was recognized, promoted and received numerous commendations while serving the community. Trina was a very loving and giving soul which was displayed during Hurricane Katrina where she showed up at the stadium often with care supplies and even invited a family into her home until they found refuge. She detested the fact that she and the hurricane shared the same name "Katrina."

During her time in Houston a bond was formed with a group of ladies and called themselves The "Sisterhood" which consisted of Lisa Brown, Judy Green, CC Shay and Jeray. The Sisterhood got together for celebrations, shows, fun and lots of laughter.

Katrina was also a Dallas Cowboys fan. Her and her uncle Mason, a Pittsburg Steelers fan, had many discussions around which team was better, Cowboys or Steelers. Mason normally came out ahead in that discussion because he could always fall back on the Steelers have more super bowl rings than the Cowboys.

Left to cherish Katrina's life are her son, Derek J. Lewis of Houston, Texas, two precious grandchildren, Arnesia "Diamond" Lewis and Devin Josef Lewis (DJ) both of Houston Texas. A devoted uncle and aunt Mason and Susan Monroe of Mitchellville, Maryland, who have served as a surrogate mother and father since Trina's biological Mom & Dad passed many years ago. Step Father, Merland Logan of Hampton Virginia, who she calls "Pop". Step-sisters and brothers of Richmond, VA, a close cousin, Ericka Monroe of LaVernge, Tennessee. "Her best friend" Mrs. Debora Duplechain; of Sugarland, Texas, a devoted friend, Alexia Proctor and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Often Katrina could be seen wearing a Tiara, well Trina…. It's your Time.

Today you shall wear a Crown!
