Mr. Herbert Rose, age 91, of Smithville passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Rose was born on December 25, 1929 in Sparta, TN to his parents, the late Sherman & Esmaree Rose. He was previously a machine operator and a member of the Webbs Chapel Methodist Church. Mr. Rose was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sarah Rose; wife, Willodean Rose, and grandchild, Christopher Rose.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 4pm until 7pm and on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 1pm until the time of service at 3:30pm in the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. David Hill will officiate. Burial will follow in DeKalb Cemetery with military honors. We are not accepting any food in our facility in compliance with Covid regulations.

Survivors of Mr. Rose include 5 daughters, Gail Sherman of Cookeville, Lynn Hall of Cookeville, Carol and Bob Poole of Cookeville, Judy Rose of Smithville, and Brenda and Martin Winter of Smyrna; 4 sons, William and Brenda Rose of Cookeville, Thomas and Tina Rose of Brush Creek, Randy Rose of Sparta, Alvin and Linda Rose of Cookeville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Frances Brown of Kentucky.
