Stone tablet reads:
"In memory of Barnabas Hatch who departed this life October 26, 1781, in the 78th year of his age."
This slate tablet remains in good condition but is difficult to read. Barnabas Hatch served in the Revolutionary Army.

Removed to North Yarmouth, ME about 1729, but Indian troubles caused them to return to Falmouth. Removed to Tolland, CT.

After his wife died, he remarried and removed to Kent, CT.

He was a cooper and farmer.
