#10 Spearman Book 4th Generation. The 1790 Census of Virginia does not show any Spearman's living in Newberry, SC. It is said that documents show Thomas moving to Newberry, SC ca 1791. He married 3rd wife in 1794. Thomas must have died after birth of son Thomas November 1800). Unsure of year of birth, 1740, 1720 has been stated?
His 1st Wife was Elizabeth Catlett (possibly died around 1784; childbirth?); they had 6 Children:
William b. abt 1763
John b. abt 1764 served in Rev. War
James b. abt 1764 served in Rev. War
Elizabeth F. b. abt 1765 married William Powers
Mary b. abt 1784 wife of Samuel Yeargan
Edmund b. abt 1773
2nd wife was Margaret Rutherford (married May 11, 1784), they had 3 Children:
Sarah "Sary" Rutherford Spearman
Robert Smith
Samuel Dishman
3rd Wife was Jane Stone Wright, they had 3 Children:
Dr. John Wesley
