Nancy J. Bell, 82, of Thorndale, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Freedom Village. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. Bell, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2020.
Born in Peekskill, NY, she was the daughter of the late James Toohey, Sr. and Audrey Lockwood Toohey.
She was a long-time member of Thorndale United Methodist Church where she was an active volunteer with many church activities. She also worked at the church for many years and an administrative assistant before retiring in 2019.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Scott K. (Barbara) and Jeffery M. (Joanne); her grandchildren, Shannon, Andrew and Patrick Bell; and by a brother, James Toohey, Jr. and his wife Loraine.
An outdoor funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, where family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 inside the funeral home.
Interment will be in Hopewell United Methodist Cemetery.
