Geneva M. Pocock, age 63, of Correctionville, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at her residence in Correction-ville. A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Assembly of God of Correctionville with the Pastor Jon Millen officiating. There will be no burial.

Geneve Mae (Stines) Pocock was born January 24, 1953 in Mapleton to Lloyd and Arlene (Birtwell) Stines. She grew up in Correctionville and attended school there.

After high school, Geneva was married. She lived in the area until she divorced and moved to Arizona with her two oldest children. She was married again, and her youngest daughter was born. After moving to Rib Lake, Wisconsin in 1995, she divorced her second husband.

She then met the love of her life, Richard Pocock. They were married June 30, 2001 in Rib Lake, WI.

Geneva loved to travel and see new places. She enjoyed camping, fishing and summer barbecues. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed making meals and entertaining guests. She would invite anyone she knew to eat, and she would often take meals to the elderly shut-ins or neighbors. Geneva worked many different jobs in her lifetime but enjoyed serving people as a waitress the most. She was in food service until ill heath forced her retirement in 2010. She moved back to Correctionville in 2014.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Pocock of Correctionville, IA; one son, Bill (Jennifer) Leggett of Rib Lake, WI; two daughters, Lori (Jeff) Warner of Rib Lake, WI and Tiffany Alvarado of Medford, WI; two step-daughters, Danielle Pocock of Montrose, CO and Miranda (Keith) Anderson of Kenosha, WI; 12 grandchildren: [redacted]; four great-grandchildren: [redacted]; one sister, Vicki Steffens (Duane Twite) of Correctionville, IA; two brothers, Rick (Kathy) Stines of Cleghorn, IA and Lloyd Stines Jr. (Bev) of Quimby, IA; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many, many special friends.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; her grandson, Jonathan; her sister, Toni; her nephew, Josh; and her parents-in-law, Wilma and Robert Pocock.
