According to his compiled military record Thomas L Duncan was born about 1839.
He enlisted 8 Nov 1864 and mustered in 4 May 1865. He served as a private in Co. I, 7 Tn Mnt Ind. He mustered out 27 July 1865 in Nashville. It lists his place of burial as Duncan Cemetery, which is now Frost Bottom.

He is also found in the 1890 US Veterans schedule of the US Census. According to this document he lived in the Wind Rock community of Anderson Co. and he was shot in the neck during the war.

Most likely died in 1905. His spouse Cynthia C Duncan filed for his pension in Jan. 1906.
