Kathy June Stokes was born on September 20, 1951 at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock, TX to her parents, John Holland Stokes and Paris June Davis Stokes. She lived in O'Donnell, Texas as a young girl. They later moved to a farm near Comanche, Texas for a few years and then to a farm just outside Dublin, Texas. She attended Dublin High School for three years and married her high school sweetheart, Phillip Ross Fletcher in 1967. She is the mother of three sons, Jeffrey Fletcher of Hutto, Texas; Russell Fletcher of Wesley Chapel, Florida; and Ross Fletcher of San Diego, California. She has one granddaughter, Madeline Fletcher and two grandsons, William Fletcher and Samuel Fletcher, all residing in Wesley Chapel, Florida. She is also survived by her brother John Holland Stokes, Jr. of Lubbock and her half-brother Mack Isaacs of Paris, Texas. Her younger sister Darla Jo (Stokes) Stover of Lubbock, Texas passed away in 2018 and Darla's daughter, Brandy McWilliams and her husband John. Her Mother, Paris June (Davis) Stokes passed away on September 4, 2020.
Kathy was a beautiful woman who loved her children dearly, often influencing them to pursue musical passions and travel endeavors. She was a big Anglophile and loved to have cups of proper tea. She often read biographies of historical figures, celebrities, and royalty. She cherished her 2 cats, who were always by her side. She passed away in Ascension Seton Hays County Hospital on June 6, 2020, of cervical cancer.
