WATAGA-Charlotte "Chardy'' Anderson, age 74, Wataga, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, at her residence in Wataga.
She was born Sept. 2, 1933, in Quitman, Mo., the daughter of John Franklin and Vivian (Spratt) Colwell. She married Carl Anderson April 23, 1955, in Coal Valley. He preceded her in death April 12, 2006.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Don) Jones, Kirkwood, and Vicki (Tim) Calkins, Wataga; one son, E. Jay (April) Anderson, Graham, Mo.; two stepsons, Carl P. (Ruby) Williams, Victoria, Texas, and Charles (Carolyn) Williams, Brush Prairie, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Merrill Colwell, Abingdon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, John Colwell and Earl Colwell.
She was reared and educated in Skidmore, Mo. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, American Legion Auxiliary and Bowling Association. She played bingo and loved spending time with friends and family.
Graveside memorial services were held Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg, with the Rev. Tom Heather officiating.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice
