Charles Addler was born July 23, 1875 (Cincinnati Ohio Health Dept. record) Charles Adler, son of John Adler (Johannes) and Lena (nee, Helena Efland) at 361 Hamilton Road. On December 1, 1897 Charles married Elizabeth DePinal Althammer. Their first two children, Ella and Charles, Jr., were born in Cincinnati, and in 1904 the family moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana. Four more children were born to Charles and Elizabeth; Fred, Augustus, Raymond and Wanetah. Charles and Elizabeth lived at 209 Hamilton Street in Crawfordsville for many years; 1910 census has them at that address, and Charles lived there until his death in 1943.
All of Charles and Elizabeth's children lived and raised their families in Montgomery County, Indiana. Many of their great grandchildren are currently living in Montgomery or surrounding counties in Indiana.
