Born in Radford, on July 4, 1955.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James Lewis Earles Sr. and Velma Jean Britt Earles, and his sister, Carol Lewis Earles, and his infant sister that died at birth.
James is survived by his loving daughters, Katherine "Katie" Brown (Charlie) and Kendall Misenheimer (Rusty); soon-to-be grandson, Boone; his devoted son, James Kirkwood "Kirk" Earles; and their mother, Linda Kirkwood. He is also survived by his niece, Kristen Gutzmer, and her family; aunt, Carol Jean Britt; uncle, Charles Luther; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.
The family will hold a private memorial service at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association or to Cambria Baptist Church, Christiansburg, Va.
