Virginia Ann Herndon, 71, of Paducah, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Lourdes-Mercy Health.

Ms. Herndon was a member of Southland Baptist Temple. Virginia was a single mother that worked in food services, child care and at several factories to provide for her children. She loved her family and pets, especially her dog, Petey. She liked St. Louis Cardinal baseball, working puzzles and watching all of her favorite t.v. shows.

Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Jones and husband, Michael of Decatur, Illinois and Melissa Schaff of Gresham, Oregon; a son, Matthew Herndon of Paducah; seven grandchildren, Shane Jones, Nicole Jones, Tiffany Schaff, Jessica Schaff, Hannah Schaff, Leah Herndon and Allison Herndon; three great-grandchildren, Adalee Jones, Brooks Jones and Atlas Williams; three sisters, Beverly Henderson of Paducah, Dianne Spears of Lone Oak and Carolyn Gifford of Union City, Tennessee; a brother, Tony Henderson of Ledbetter; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Blake Robert Haley Jones; seven brothers, Dallas, Tex, Ray, Huston, Charles, Brent and Gary. Her parents were, Cyrel and Imogene Haley Henderson.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Zack Browning officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
