Linzie Thomas Coffman, 69, died Thursday, May 29, 1997, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born January 1, 1928 in Stanford, he was the son of the late Matthew Cecil and Ida Florence Simpson Coffman. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Church of God. Survivors include: his wife, Ruby Bertram Coffman, Harrodsburg, two sons, Ronnie Thomas Coffman, Harrodsburg and Charles James Coffman, Lawrenceburg; five daughters, Cookie Conner, Diane Parnell, Renee Simpson and Connie Hart, all of Harrodsburg, Angela Gail Renfro, Georgetown; three brothers, Obert Coffman, Perryville, Virgil Coffman, Harrodsburg, and Charlie Coffman, Junction City; one sister, Dimple Lamb, Nicholasville; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Vester and Matt Cecil Coffman, two sisters, Lizzie Grimes and Dillie Lewis, two children, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, June 2, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Holbrook and Rev. Glenn Daugherty officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
