Mary Ann Zimmerman, 77, of Davidson, North Carolina passed away after a long battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.

Ann graduated from William Penn High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She then went on to receive her higher education at Shippensburg State College (now Shippensburg University) where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Education and a Master's of Education.

After college, Ann served for many years as a public school teacher in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Jacksonville, Florida, and in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Ann enjoyed staying active and was a member of several social clubs around Davidson and North Charlotte including the Golden Girls, Newcomers of North Charlotte, and the Davidson Garden Club. She was also an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing several times a week prior to (and even after) her illness. She also enjoyed reading and working out crossword puzzles.

Ann was an incredible wife, mother, sister, and friend who was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

Preceding Ann in death are her parents, John Donald and Mary Jane Adams as well her Nephew John and Niece Kristen. She is survived by her husband John, her son Bryan, her daughter Deborah, her grandchildren Grant, Andrew, and Ava, her brothers John and George, her sisters Elizabeth, Patricia, and Carol, and many much loved nieces and nephews.
