David Wayne Richards, 57 of Hiwassee, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.
He was born in Beckley, WV to Eugene Allen and Norma Jean Woods Richards.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Vickie Lynn Fisher and Burley Dean Richards.
Survivors include his mother; sisters, Betty Brown, Patricia Redden, and Rose Burton; brothers, Calvin Richards and Everette Richards; his loving wife of 36 years, Melody Redden Richards; daughter, Samantha Richards Smith (Jason) of Jonesborough, TN; son, David Eric Richards (Stephani) of Radford; and five grandchildren: Clara Smith, Joel Smith, Trenton Smith, Silas Richards, and Paisley Richards.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Apostolic Church, 783 Stafford Dr in Christiansburg, VA with Pastor Tom Peters officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Sunrise Burial Park, Fairlawn.
