Jack Donovan Griffin, 46, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Oak Cemetery.
Jack Donovan Griffin was born February 18, 1975 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Donovan "Don" and Sarah Harrison Griffin. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1994. He worked as a track master for Cherokee Equipment and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Whether you knew Jack as "Knucklehead", "Cupcake", or "King of the Square", you probably giggle when you think of him. He was ALWAYS the life of the party and had a true, unconditional affection for people from every walk of like. Jack was the guy who would give his last nickel, share his last bite of ice cream, and go well beyond the boundaries to help someone in need. He was a secret keeper, and his people knew he had their backs. Jack was athletic and good at most sports, especially dancing. (One year he rode his bicycle down the sidewalk on the Christmas parade route with the biggest grin waving to his people and wishing them a Merry Christmas.) He tried his best to be the #1 father, son and brother and the stories told give only a glimpse of the effort he put forth. Jack's bear hugs were unforgettable and a testament to the love he had for those who received them. No truer words have been penned, "To know Jack was to love him."
