Funeral services for Cynthia Marie Willis, 53, of Ruston, LA will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2005, 2:00 PM, at the chapel of Owens Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Oddo officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery of Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mrs. Willis was born on April 12, 1951 in Marion to the union of Wyman and Marcelle Abbott. She died February 14, 2005 in Ruston after a brief illness. She was employed at Louisiana Tech University and enjoyed doings crafts, loved flowers, gardening, painting, knitting and crocheting.
Mrs. Willis is survived by her husband David Willis, three sons: Kendon Pesnell and wife Jennifer, Everett Pesnell, and Kevin Pesnell all of Ruston; one daughter: Kelli Denise Willis of Marlow, OK; two grandchildren: Kyler Layne Pesnell, Daniel James Pesnell, two brothers: Michael Keith Abbott and wife Faye of West Monroe and Timothy Martin Abbott of Ruston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Donald Wayne Abbott and one sister Terri Abbott.
