The decedent was born at Lerona, June 10, 1854. On November 18, 1886, he married Miss Fanny Belcher who survives. He was formerly employed by the Virginian Railway company. Mr. Caldwell was a member of the Methodist church.
Besides his widow, he leaves the following sons and daughters: K. B. Caldwell of Minneapolis; Mrs. A. M. Whittaker, Mrs. J. T. Cahill, Mrs. J. O. Whittaker, James Caldwell, Princeton; Mrs. Zed Ball, Glen Rogers; Mrs. J. B. Caldwell, Keystone; W. P. Caldwell, Beckley; one sister, Mrs. T. K. Hatcher of Princeton; four brothers, M. F. and G. M. Caldwell of Princeton; G. E. Caldwell of Maben; W. H. Caldwell of Athens. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Nephews and grandsons of the decedent will serve as pallbearers.
