Wayne L. Robinson, age 87, of Nemaha, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2007, at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, October 30th, at the United Methodist Church in Nemaha with Pastor Carl Benge officiating. Burial will be at the Newell Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, October 29th at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City.

Wayne was born on February 2, 1920, at Nemaha, Iowa, the son of George and Anna Kair Robinson. He grew up on a farm east of Nemaha and graduated from Nemaha High School in 1938.

On October 3, 1943, Wayne was married to Mildred I. Langenwalter at the Methodist Parsonage in Nemaha. They lived near Nemaha where Wayne farmed, and where they raised their three children: Richard, Anita, and Norma.

Farming was Wayne's whole life. He was employed by Joe Wise and lived east of Nemaha. He and Mildred then moved in 1945 to the Stenhouse farm, northwest of Nemaha, where he lived the remainder of his life. He liked to read, watch baseball games, watch his grandchildren's activities, and helping on the farm after his retirement. He always put his family first. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose caring ways will be dearly missed.

He was a lifetime member of the Nemaha United Methodist Church and served on the committee for reorganization of the Early and Nemaha Schools into Crestland Community School.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Rich Robinson and wife Jene of Storm Lake, IA; Anita Mason and husband Neil of Early, IA; and Norma Wood of Sac City, IA; eight grandchildren: Robyn (Neil) Vickers of Oswego, IL, Rachel (Dan) McGuire of Mason City, IA, Jon (Amanda) Robinson of Storm Lake, IA, Scott (Kim) Mason of Early, IA, Anne (Troy) Rosendahl of Spencer, IA, Carol (Brian) Hansen of Sac City, IA, Lisa Wood of Sac City, IA, and Sarah Wood of Fort Dodge, IA; 13 great-grandchildren: Emma, Andy and Alex Vickers; Jack, Molly, and Cal McGuire, Steven and Katie Mason, Blake and Mackenzie Rosendahl, Hannah and Emily Hansen, and Olivia Wood; sister Hazel Paeper and husband Robert of Sac City; brother-in-law Earl (Lois) Langenwalter of Waterloo, IA; two sisters-in-law: Nancy Langenwalter of Cedar Falls, IA, and Ella Langenwalter of California; and many extended family members.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna Robinson; and wife Mildred on September 16, 2002.
