GEORGE H. BARTLETT FUNERAL FRIDAY AT TRIDELL CHAPEL George H. Bartlett, 75, prominent Uintah County farmer, carpenter and bee man died early this morning at his home in Tridell following a lingering illness. Mr. Bartlett was born at Mountain Dell, in Salt Lake County, August 8, 1871, a son of Charles C. and Annie K. Jensen Bartlett. He came to the Ashley Valley at an early age. He married Clara Bingham in 1892, and has engaged in agriculture, carpentry and the honey business his entire life. He homesteaded on the reservation and has made his home in Tridell for the past several years. An active LDS Church member, Mr. Bartlett has held numerous offices in Tridell and has been active in civic affairs. He was instrumental in the promotion of water for that area. Survivors include his widow, eight children, Mrs. LeRoy Morrill, Owen Bartlett, Mrs. Davis Morrill, Tridell; Mrs. Oscar Lyman, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Russell Gray, Salt Lake; Mrs. Orlan Cox, Lovell, Wyoming and Mrs. William Turner, Jensen and Lester Bartlett of Tridell in addition to three brothers and three sisters, Nellie Merkley of Tridell, Mrs. F, G, Bingham and Mrs. W. S. Henderson of Vernal; C. B. Bartlett, Tridell; Ashley Bartlett of Fontana, California and Ross Bartlett of Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 12 noon at the Tridell Chapel and interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Swain Funeral Home.
