David Scott "Cloudy" Ellis, 63, of Marshalltown, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at his home. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the National Cemetery in rural Vining.

Dave was born on December 18, 1957, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Robert and Marvel (Clement) Ellis.

On April 6, 1984, he was united in marriage to Nancy Husak at the St. Patrick Catholic church.

Survivors include his wife Nancy of Marshalltown; his son, Scott (Hallie) Ellis of Marshalltown; his daughter, Jo Timmer (Levi Ehler) of Killduff; and his son-in-law, Derek Timmer of Marshalltown; two granddaughters, Siena and Audrina Timmer; his mother, Marvel Ellis of Marshalltown; one brother, Doug Ellis of Marshalltown; two sisters, Cheryl (Hank) Miller of Beaman, and Linda (Greg) Nennig of Marshalltown; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; and his grandparents.
