John Werner, 57, of 1436 Illinois Ave., died Monday.
Born July 25, 1920, in Racine, (sic) a son of John and Julia Ermisch Werner, he attended Sheboygan schools and graduated from North High School.
On Dec. 13, 1941, he married June Steffen at Dubuque, Iowa.
A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Air Force from December, 1942 to June, 1945. Mr. Werner was employed as a sheet metal worker at South Side Hardware and Plumbing Co. and for the past 16 years at the Georgia Pacific Corp. He was a member of Immanual Lutheran Church.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jerome (Barbara) Fox and Mrs. Ken (Sandra) Hogue, both of Sheboygan; four grandchildren; one brother, Alex of San Clemente, Calif., and four sisters, Mrs. Frieda Kinney and Mrs. Olga Fischer, both of Sheboygan, Mrs. Lydia Stahl of Papillion, Neb. and Mrs. Marie Orlenko of Los Angeles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home, the Rev. Herbert Stelter, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be Lutheran Cemetery.
