CLINTON MASON WOOD, age 93 of Birmingham, joined his Lord Jesus Christ on Easter weekend Saturday, April 3, 2021.

Clint was born and raised in Monroe County, Alabama and graduated from J.U. Blacksher High School. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he attended and graduated from Howard College (Samford University) where he met his wife. Clint then went to Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. He began his pastoral ministry at 66th Street Baptist Church and they sponsored the mission of South Roebuck Baptist Church where he became the founding pastor in 1954. He then served as pastor of First Baptist Albertville, Northport Baptist Church, South Avondale Baptist and Sandusky Baptist Church retiring in 1993. Clint also served on several boards with the Alabama Baptist State Convention. In his retirement years, he loved gardening and travelling with Dot. His family will celebrate his life with visitation at the former South Roebuck Baptist Church (now New Beginnings Christian Ministry) on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 1-2 PM with his service beginning at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL.
