Gerald Wray McDaniel, 75, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on April 04, 2021 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, the youngest child of the late John Dixon and Annie Dixon McDaniel and was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Glenn, Clyde, Naaman, and Charles McDaniel and sisters, Josephine Sellers, Sarah Stroupe, Helen Roberts, and Ruth Sanders. Gerald was a life long member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he dedicated his musical talents as a member of the choir and frequent soloist. He worked at Sherrill Industries for thirty-seven years as a machinist. Gerald was an avid bowler and loved to play golf in his spare time. He was a wonderful husband, loving father, and doting grandfather and great grandfather to his family. His kindness, guidance, and love will be missed greatly by his loved ones, church, and many friends.
SURVIVORS: Wife of fifty-six years, Elizabeth "Libby" Wyte McDaniel, of the home

Grandchildren: Alex McDaniel (Emily), Midland, NC, Rachel Laughridge (Tyler), Kings Mountain, NC, Jordan McDaniel (Heather), Greenville, SC, and Jacob and Camryn Rogers, Fort Mill, SC
Great Grandchildren: Mason Laughridge, Rosie and Lyla Joy McDaniel, and arriving in October, Jackson Laughridge
Brothers: Rodger McDaniel, Kings Mountain, NC and Durwood "Dean" McDaniel Shelby, NC.
Sister: Martha Ann Wright, Conover, NC

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Steve Taylor officiating
VISITATION: The family will speak with attendees following the service in the C.A.C. of the church
INTERMENT: Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
