Mrs. Gail Z. Taylor, 84, of 111 Mill Street, was dead on arrival at Butler County Memorial Hospital at 10 a.m. yesterday of natural causes. Born in Forest County, on November 7, 1887, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Mary C. Thomas Best. Her husband, Orron W. Taylor, died in May 1923. She was retired from the Housekeeping Department of Sarver Hall, Butler County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two sons, Thomas J. Best, of Akron, Ohio, and Harold E. Taylor, of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Leland E. (Edith) Ritts, of Butler; seven grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter J. Best, of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Berlin, of Turkey City, and Mrs. Mary Rowe, of Callery; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the funeral home, with Rev. William L. Bowser, of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
